This 1969 mark 2 998cc model was purchased by Andy’s brother as a basket case. Detailed examination revealed it to be even worse than anticipated, with the whole of the floor parting company from the body. A huge amount of care and expertise were necessary to correct the geometry of the shell and attain panel alignment and gaps that are probably better than when it first left the production line. Much bespoke fabrication was required where replacement panels were not available. The car has been meticulously restored to original factory specification, with every minute detail considered. It is still in the final stages of completion and will be absolutely stunning when finished.
